An in-depth interview with the first of four Indians to fly for the Royal Flying Corps during World War One and the only one who survived to tell their tale.

Malik recounts in detail the miraculous escape he had in his Sopwith Camel while fighting the Red Baron’s Flying Circus during the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917.

His interview covers his time studying at Oxford during the war, how he managed to battle prejudice to join the RFC and the daring mission that almost took his life.
