Introduction

Education is central to ensuring that story of the Sikh contribution in the WW1 is remembered by current and future generations. Our educational materials provide a variety of ways for them to connect with that legacy.

• Education Packs

  We have developed two History schemes of work for Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) and Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) that focus in depth on the experiences of Sikh soldiers in WW1. They are designed to complement other material produced to mark the centenary.

• Educational App

  People of all ages can learn more about the Sikh role in WW1 with this fun app that follows the journey of Sepoy Harnam Singh through different theatres of war.

  Fun for all the family with building, baking and crafting activities for children.
