Have you seen the stirring poem about a fictional Sikh WW1 soldier Harnam Singh at our exhibition?
The author was Sir James Wilcox, the commander-in-chief of the Indian Corps in those early crucial months on the Western Front in 1914-15.
This week his great-grandson, James Whittaker, stopped by and was amazed to see his ancestor's poem so prominently displayed. James Wilcox was a staunch advocate for his men and his respect and knowledge of them comes shining through in this wonderful poem.
Don't miss your chance to read this moving poem and remember all the Harnam Singhs of the Great War before we close on 28 September.
